Under the Vedavyaasa Restructuring Sanskrit Scheme Dept of Sanskrit

(Under the Vedavyaasa Restructuring Sanskrit Scheme) Dept of Sanskrit & SDHDR&T Center of SD College, Ambala Cantt organized a discussion today i.e. 13th  October , 2018, Saturday,
on the topic – “विज्ञान एवम् सम्प्रदाय”“SCIENCE  & RELIGION” and was attended by 22 participants including students. Prof. Vinod Shankar , (Retd.) dept of Philosophy, kuk presided over the discussion and Dr Someshwar Dutt, Director, HSA, PKL along with Dr Sanjay Sharma, Registrar, YMCA Univ, Faridabad were the guest of honour. Dr. Shyam Natha Jha, Dr Joginder, Dr Rajesh, Sh Anil Mittal, Sh B D Thaper and others raised issues and following Questions were discussed elaborately >>

1. What is the purpose of human life & Universe?

2. Is there any ultimate theory of universe or infinite sequence of theories to explain universe in science & religion or there can be no theory of universe as events cannot be explained / understood/ predicted/ seen/ perceived beyond a certain level?
3.
How issue of Knower (ज्ञाता/ प्रमाता/ बोद्धा) is to be seen/ explained/ perceived in science & religion?
4. What is our understanding about the exploratory journey of scientific temper (विवेक ज्ञान) right from Upanishadic Brhaman (औपनिषदिक ब्रह्मन्) to modern day science of Goddamn particle?”

5. What relationship is possible between all mathematical conclusions and human experience?

6. What is our understanding about existence, life, Infinity, subtle, non-existence?

In the beginning it was explained to all that these discussions are not for conclusions , these are about enhancing our own perception, trying to open our minds, to widen our horizons, to enhance our perception, to learn to use the language for the subtle ideas and lastly to challenge our own ego – what we know and what we don’t know?

It is also decided to extend discussion participation on line too. Details will shared soon.
