(Under VedaVyaas Restructuring Sanskrit Scheme) Depts of Sanskrit, Political Science, History, Economics & SDHDR&T Center of S. D. College, Ambala Cantt & RKSD College, Kaithal jointly organized a national level Open House Discussion Session on the following topic- “IMPACT EVALUATION OF TALIBAN OCCUPIED AFGANISTAN” ताष्टिबान द्वारा बिािष्टधकृ त अफिाष्टनस्तान के प्रभाव का मूल्ााँकन on 19th August, 2021, in which 37 scholars from different states and subjects took part to share their understanding, views, opinions & perceptions about the subject. Discussion was initiated by the dept of Sanskrit by giving a PowerPoint presentation and shared its concerns as an Indian and as a Hindu too and then raised many disturbing questions which were followed by introductory remarks by Dr Chiman lal. Later on Dr Ashok Atri, Dr Vinod Maan, Dr Anukriti, Dr Vinay Singhal, Dr R K Gupta, Dr Sadanand, Dr BalaSahab Bairagi, Dr Rohtash Jamdagni, Dr Uma Jain, and other scholars discussed the issue from economic, political, religious & geographical aspects including far reaching impact on India as Taliban defines its dynamics by militant Islam and Deoband based Sharia law. There were two main concerns of the discussion – 1. How developed countries are going to recognize and legitimize a terrorist group as govt of Afganistan and 2. How Indians and particularly Hindus (including secular Hindus) should react or respond to fundamentalist Islamic threat? Sh Ajay Bhardwaj, senior journalist gave concluded the discussion by giving journalistic evaluation of the whole situation.
