Under the VedaVyaas Restructuring Sanskrit Scheme, Departments of Home Science, Sanskrit, Music (V&I), SDHDR&T Center, S D College, Ambala Cantt, Arya Girls College, Ambala Cantt, GMN College, Ambala Cantt, MPN College, Mullana, RKSD College, Kaithal jointly organized a National Webinar on the topic – “पौरस्त्य एवम् पाश्चात्य परम्परा में सौन्दयथ की अवधारणा एवम् उसके तत्त् ” “Concept & Constituents of Aesthetics in Eastern & Western Tradition” in which 56 participants took part from various institutes of different states & Speakers- Dr. (Maj.) Neelam Kumari, Dept of Human Development & Family Relations, Govt. Home science, College, Chandigarh & Dr. Shivani Sharma, Department of Philosophy, Punjab University, Chandigarh were the resource persons who brilliantly , logically shared their scholarly discourse on the issue. Dept of Sanskrit made the opening remarks by a PPT by raising issues regarding need of Aesthetics in personal & societal life, what aesthetics mean, what are its values, constituents, paradigms etc & what is the difference between Indian aesthetics & western aesthetics? We all know that aesthetics is a multi dimensional term which everyone finds in food, clothing, language, literature, behavior, architecture, sculpture, painting & rituals too so one needs to learn to decode aesthetics and aesthetic sense. Dr. Divya Tripathi, Dr Sunita Arya, Dr, C K Jha, Dr, Manmohan Sharma, Dr. Richa, Dr. R K Gupta, Sh. Ajay Bhardwaj, Dr. Anand Ghurye, Dr. Madhu Sharma, Dr. ParamJeet, Prof. Neetu Bala, Dr, Chanchal Sharma, Dr. Anjali Diwan, Prof Loveleen Grover, & others shared their critical views too. Prof Yashna Bawa on behalf of all organizing colleges welcomes the participants and introduced the resource persons and also proposed the vote of thanks.
