Brief note about the meeting of the committee constituted by DHE

Haryana to propose to promote research on ancient knowledge held on 31jan, 2020 at skt univ, kaithal. It was chaired by VC and three members were present. It was unanimously agreed that any research proposal should qualify four parameters as per Nyaaya & Mimaansaa -1 Utility, उपयोिगता 2 Relevance संगतता, 3 Application ᮧयोगपरकता, 4 Innovation नवᮧवतᭅनता. Broad areas of research including management, computational sanskrit, Vedic gross national happiness index, evaluation methods of governance, personality, leadership, sanskritists contribution to swachata abhiyaan, geography, medical astrology, vastu+physics, models of critical thinking, correcting ancient Indian history etc. were recommended to DHE. Note -some issues other than this also discussed but two were main issues – 1. all research (including phd etc) should have plagiarism test. 2. Sanskrit as a subject should be taught as theory and practical. Regarding this ppt was shared with other members. VC of Skt univ offered dept of skt to initiate the workshops on such issues for the benefit of students.A copy of the survey based proposal submitted by dept of skt s d college to committee is attached attached herewith for your critical review.
