Dept of skt, Music, Hindi, Phy Edu & Sdhdr&t centre of S D College, Ambala Cantt along with students organized function to celebrate Vasantotsav and paid homage to 13 year old child Veer Hakikat Rai for sacrificing his life for his tradition. Dr Vishnu Dutt, principal SDA Skt College presided over the function and briefed students and staff about the time concept and it’s relationship with nature and symbols along with their meaning as per Indian tradition. Dr Madhu Sharma with her students presented Saraswati vandana. Dr shashi Rana brief about the culture of celebration as per Indian tradition. Dr Vijay Sharma narrated the story of Veer Balak Hakikat Rai and his sacrifice. Dr Rajesh Phor, Dr Leena, Dr Saryu Sharma, Dr Paramjeet, Sh Hem Sharma ji were present in the function. 87 students were present and Ms Astha also made presentation on Meaning and importance of Vasant Ritu. To mark the occasion yellow halwa was distributed as prasad to all after the function. Note – It is matter of grave concern for all teachers that students lack knowledge and awareness about changes in nature and it’s relationship with human mind etc. We need make sense of whole education to them.
