A two hour discussion session was organised by SDHDRT centre of SD College today
i. e. on 25th November 2017 on the topic -critique of questions in indian and western tradition of knowledge. The objective was to discuss what were the questions in the history of mankind that led to development of present day human beings, society and different disciplines. Twenty participants actively participated in the discussion and put forward their views. The major questions that were discussed were :
1.what actually constitutes aesthetic beauty.
2.how can happiness be achieved.
3.what is a human being.
4.what is universe – space or void.
5.why and how is the homo sapiens the most creative individual on earth. Is it nature or is it nurture.
It was concluded that there are three levels of questioning –
1. Existential questions.
2. Questions of enquiry.
3. Aesthetic level questions.
