“ Models of Healthy Life Practices in Sanskrit Literature & Medical Sciences” संस्कृत वाङ्ममय एवं चिकित्सा-विज्ञान में स्वस्थ- जीवन-वृत्त के प्रारूप”
Discussion was attended by12 people including Dr Joginder, Dr Jaiprakas, Dr shyamnatha Jha, Dr Dr Uma Sahrma, Dr Paramjeet, Dr Vijay , Dr Gaurav and others. The Crux of this discussion is as follows- Indian knowledge tradition has a model of healthy life practices from 4.00a.m. till 10.00pm for a person which includes , physical mental health (including sleeping, eating, relaxing, bathing, exercise etc), use of time, education, culture, environment, standard of living, social interaction but million dollar question of it’s relevance in present day life style remained illusive. Medical science has not much to offer on this count too. Second problem of definition of health as per UNO and Indian tradition also remained unexplained. It also reamined unexplained why people want to manage stress because human being needs to manage beautiful or precious things in life. Why to manage stress instead one should learn to manage beautiful things of life. Many more contradictions were underlined between healthy life and professional life.
Discussion could not conclude much on healthy life practices so second round of discussion will be organized soon after after 14th April. Thanx to all who spared time and energy for this discussion.
